Alison, Liz, Shirley and Liz said their favourite thing about Hardwick so far had been the atmosphere. They told me they’d spent their day enjoying Pimms and food, but were most excited to see the Specials that evening.

The Lottery Winners and Seasick Steve had been their favourites so far, while The Specials were who these ladies were most excited to see – if you couldn’t guess from the t-shirts! In a lovely coincidence, at the end of the day I spotted the team again at the stage barrier, waiting for The Specials to start. Read to the end to see the photo of our reunion.

Liberty and Collette

Liberty and Collette had been enjoying The Treehouse Arena, a dance stage set in the forest surrounding Hardwick Hall, the most so far. They were looking forward to singers Becky Hill, and Ella Eyre as well as DJ Purple Disco Machine, who were all playing later that day.

Judith and Mark

I met Judith and Mark when they had just arrived at Hardwick Festival. They were most excited for The Specials.

Lucy

Lucy was working at a stall at Hardwick. She’s worked at a lot of festivals, but she said it was nice to be close to home at Hardwick, where she enjoyed how friendly everyone was. Lucy was most excited to see Becky Hill.

Kevin and Mick

Kevin and Mick were enjoying their second day at the festival. Their favourite thing from the day before had been seeing the Stereophonics and going on the dodgems. On their final day, they were most excited for The Proclaimers and The Specials.

Frank and Kim

Frank and Kim have been to Hardwick lots of times before, and they said it was lovely to see everyone out again. They were most excited for The Proclaimers and The Specials.

Ashleigh, Kamara and Naomi

These three girls were enjoying a moment away from the Treehouse Arena, which they said was their favourite stage. They were most excited for The Specials that evening.

Steven, potentially the best dressed attendee of Hardwick 2022, was most excited to see The Proclaimers.

Kelly, Kye and Paula are pictured here in the Soul & Funk Forest, a dance stage decorated by mushrooms and hammocks. They were most excited for Becky Hill.

Thank you to everyone who spoke to us at Hardwick Festival 2022! We hope you had a lovely weekend.
