Irish rock band Pillow Queens will perform at The Cluny in Newcastle in June.

Composed of co-lead vocalists Pamela Connolly and Sarah Corcoran, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Cathy McGuinness and drummer/backing vocalist Rachel Lyons.

Performing everything from pop to punk, the four-piece have gained attention for their lyrical content relating to their Catholic upbringing.

The band have played all over the world supporting the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Idles, Phoebe Bridgers and Pavement and are veterans of festivals such as Latitude, Live At Leeds, South By South West and Brighton’s Mutations.

Earlier this year, the band released single ‘Gone’.

Pillow Queens said: “A song that looks into the vapid nature of brief romantic encounters and the hyperbole that can become so monotonous, it makes you jaded and showcases a vulnerability that allows for no silver linings

Special guests will be announced on the night.

The event will be held on June 10, 2024, for ages 16+.

Tickets for the event are available to buy here.
