Weaving a stream
through a jellyfish sea,
is it wrong to have hope
of surviving afloat?

When a sitting Prime Minister
stands up and runs
shoulder to shoulder
with everyday folk
to put roofs over the heads
of the broken and broke,
it’s not wrong to have hope.

When the plastic masks
hang jagged from proto Nazis,
hope is the sharpest
weapon there is.

We stand up to hate
standing up for each other,
sister to sister,
brother to brother.

In a time of hawks
we choose the dove.
One choice, one voice,
one people, one love.
