It had been a long walk from home, along the dusty roads, to do the Emperor's bidding, with a child on the way. And when exhausted, they finally reached their destination, no room could be found. So the mother lay down in the stable, with the lowly sheep and lowing oxen, waiting for a miracle.
It had been a long, dark road from home, across dangerous seas and along hostile roads, to escape the war, the famine, the prison cell. And when exhausted, they finally reached their destination, no warm welcome was found. So they wearily lay down with so many other lost and lonely souls, waiting for a miracle.
Remember the child who became a refugee Remember the child who is a refugee.
