I want to send you a poem.
No words come
on this vernal day full of promise,
light and blackbird song.
Sun kisses my face.
Washing nods to magnolia blossom.
Seagulls cry on the breeze.
A church bell chimes.
I sip my beer.
All is shining - blue, green, gold -
bursting life.
My heart is nearly full
... so nearly full.
You are not here.
