The ink that formed letters
The letters that made words
The words that made a poem
The poem that was hollow
until…
The writer that used eyes The eyes that saw a woman The woman that led children The children who queued
The queue to the foodbank The foodbank that was short The short and the long The longing for help
The helping hand that wasn’t there The leaders who didn’t care The small change not forthcoming The change that is coming
