Gobsmacked, wow, really, what…just a few thoughts that came into my head on hearing that Southampton had been expelled from the playoffs and that Boro would instead go on to face Hull City in the final.

So many legs…
This story has so many legs, a millipede would need a few mates to compare with this.
Boro seem to be a ‘bad guy’ now, there are calls for Hull City to be automatically promoted and their Chairman is apparently taking legal advice to see if they can sue the EFL if they lose at Wembley.
The FA is getting involved, Saints players talking about suing their own club, Manager and staff possibly getting sacked.
What a mess.
A mess indeed, all caused by Southampton deciding that, in a game often decided by tiny margins, that spying on opposition training sessions was a good idea.
Saints, now sinners I suppose, have no one to blame for this situation apart from themselves.
Their behaviour has been pretty poor all round.
Tone deaf statements, little to no remorse, sulking out of press conferences, MFC team coach being pelted, ball boys refusing to give Boro players the ball, their captain verbally (allegedly) abusing Luke Ayling, then celebrating by pretending to ‘spy’.
What’s next?
