Dear Mr Vickers,
Isn’t it about time you came back off your holidays. You have been missing in action for months now, and amazingly still getting paid. Talk about being a drag on the economy, and yet there is a coming war on benefit and pension recipients.
Your constituents are terrified about the state of our country.
How are we going to get through this winter?
Eating or heating is a dilemma which is not going away and is only getting worse
Unlike MPs we don’t get subsidised food on top of a significant salary and regular pay rises.
Your Party has just given a huge Christmas present wrapped in pound notes to bankers and millionaires, protected Shell, BP etc, whilst we have been given a lump of coal.
Our mortgages, if we can get one, are going through the roof.
If we can afford to buy food, we are wondering if we can afford to cook it.
Fill up our cars?? Have to think about journeys now.
You have crashed the pound and pension pots, triggering a humongous bail out by the BOE, as a result you have hung generations to come an eye-watering debt.
We didn’t have a clue as to how this was all going to be paid for.
Well, now we know…the Levelling Up Minister (what a joke), has just told us to expect a new era of austerity.
You have got to be kidding, surely.
What else can you cut?
NHS, Police, Education, Social Services, Justice System, Libraries, Community Centres etc have all been ruined by 12 years of ignorant, incompetent and self-serving Tory Government.
We were supposed to be building 40 new hospitals, getting more nurses, police officers etc.
Well, it appears we can kiss that goodbye. Not that it was going to happen anyway.
We were promised, no more austerity, sunlit uplands, jam today and tomorrow.
As is always the case with a Tory Government, you just promise, lie, promise, lie, promise…and the only ones who thrive are your mates, donors, lobbyists and cronies.
I have thought you a coward for a long time now…always missing when we need help. Always missing when controversy is around, only appearing when it dies down. I am sick to death of seeing ‘Matt Vickers was unavailable for comment’, ‘Matt Vickers has been approached for comment’.
I am genuinely curious as to why you are an MP, you only seem to want to get your face in the news when you can claim something positive.
Do yourself a favour, put your thumb away, look in the mirror and finally realise you aren’t fit to represent us.
Yours in disgust and despair
Chris Wade
