Instead, we must read everything.
From the Guardian to the Telegraph
From the Mirror to the Sun.
We must watch Sky News, Channel 4 News-
Even BBC news-
And listen, just listen,
To opposing points of view.
Then, we must sing protest songs
Just as loudly as we can
Dance wildly to the music of the people.
We must eat garden potatoes, and gooseberries.
We must watch "I, Daniel Blake"-
And then watch it again.
Then-
We must talk
To the butcher, the baker
The policy maker
The dancers, the singers
The church bellringers,
Leavers,Remainers,
Referendum abstainers
The chemist, the florist,
Or supporters of Boris
Foxhunters, farmers
And followers of Starmer
The teacher, the nurse
The writer of verse...
Think.
Consider.
Reflect.
And then,
Only then-
Are you qualified to vote.
Be smart.
