Today, three years after the UK left the European Union, a new banner was unveiled outside parliament. The message reads:
“Join us on the road to rejoin.”
The banner is the work of National Rejoin March (NRM), a group that is campaigning for the UK to rejoin the European Union. Today they were joined by members of Young European Movement (YEM). Throughout the day campaigners from other groups also joined – including Swindon 4 Europe, Oxford for Europe, Harrow and Hillingdon EM, SODEM, Festival of Europe as well as members of the SNP.
The campaigners say that rejoining the EU will help growth, increase prosperity for all, lower inflation, decrease interest rates and give immediate relief to shortages of skilled labour in all of the country’s key sectors including our NHS and care, logistics, construction and hospitality sectors.
The National Rejoin March
The National Rejoin March team organised the first Rejoin the EU march and rally in London in October 2022, also has more events planned throughout 2023.
The National Rejoin March says that we must rejoin the EU. Recent polls show that a growing proportion of the population is unhappy with Brexit. They agree with the Telegraph’s assessment that Brexit is now doomed to failure and that “almost nothing has been achieved. “ The group goes further, saying that nothing has been achieved and never will be while we stay isolated from the EU.
