£ 50.5mn over twenty years is soon to be spent on a new fluoridation scheme for 1.6 million people in the North East.
Award winning Blackburn Council report 16% reduction in dental decay in a non-fluoridated area using oral education and diet schemes that will create a lifelong positive impact on teeth and health.
Here in fluoridated West Cumbria we will be lucky to see a 2% reduction in dental decay and have to live with a number of health concerns caused by swallowing fluoride such as dental fluorosis and IQ reduction.
