In Happyland we sing our song
of pride in riches from squalor,
we read our press and nod along
 while worshipping the dollar.

Take pride in our irrefutable past,
mansions built from sugar and cotton,
take heed of that flag, pride of the mast
and keep saluting till you have forgotten.

So sing up proudly, loud as you can,
 all you good, obedient songbirds
and don’t forget, keep your eyes on the man
who is checking you know all the words.

In Happyland we sing our song,
the pride of a nation strong and fair,
 our children marching keenly along,
right arms angled into the air.
