If you could see her through my eyes

 I know what you are thinking
 You’re wondering what’s the fuss?
 Your world is drastically shrinking
 And you’ve suddenly become a recluse
 Your outings in public together
 Without masks, distance, or rules
 Means a resulting increase of pressure
 On us all, you ignorant fools
 But if you knew her like I do
 It would change your point of view
 How can I speak of her malevolence?
 She’s cunning, mercurial and quick
 How much more do you need as evidence
 than thousands dead or critically sick?
 If you could see her through my PPE
 Witness the pain and the grief she inflicts
 You wouldn’t perhaps be so cavalier
 As to treat deaths as just statistics
 If only you knew her like I do
 It would change your point of view
 I don’t understand why you think it’s all lies
 Can’t fathom how you’ve quite got the gall
 For if you could see her through my eyes
 She wouldn't look fake newsish at all
