Weaving down roads I can flirt with the line stitching up miles, I’m just chasing time

Weaving down roads I can flirt with the line
stitching up miles, I’m just chasing time
errors of judgement, what do I care?
I dally for coffee, I stop for repair
my bones knit together, my body will mend
accelerate gently, lean in to that bend
with belief that my journey will be good and long
supreme in my judgement, I’m vital and strong
rain brings up an oil slick –
I falter, I slide
in jangling confusion, the road opens wide
unravels my journey, then slams on the lid
My life is just one long motorbike skid
