In response to a Politico poll in the wake of the Axel Rudakubana sentencing, Farage announced “No pacts, no deals, Reform is headed for government.”

Yet pacts and deals are very much on Farage’s agenda.

You can tell a man by the company he keeps, goes the saying. Trump and Musk.

During Trump’s election campaign, Musk developed a cosy relationship with Nigel Farage, which still exists despite their public tiff.

As Best for Britain put it, they embody “Government of the billionaires, by the billionaires, for the billionaires”.

He who took back control from democratically elected MEPs would willingly hand it to himself and friends.

Undermining the NHS

We can kiss goodbye to the NHS as we know it should Farage ever take control of the UK government. Farage has argued some treatments on the NHS should be paid for. The NHS is currently free at the point of use.

The man who claimed leaving the EU as a huge motivation for the side of his campaign bus cares not about the NHS.

Labour spokespeople warned ordinary people would end up being charged thousands of pounds for operations and vital treatments, which would be insignificant amounts for Farage and his multi-millionaire deputy, Jonathan Ashworth, who wrote in the Sunday Mirror that Farage’s plans would lead to doctors having to “check your purse before your pulse.” Some sobering examples below:

  •    Cataract treatment £3,243
  •   Hip replacement £12,500
  •   Knee surgery  £13,625

With the economy so battered, fewer people could afford to pay for treatments.

Farage’s plans echo policies of Donald Trump, who is expected to include health services in any potential negotiations on a free trade agreement with the UK in his “blueprint for power”, Project 2025. This states that the Trump administration will adopt a pre-existing model trade agreement that would open up UK services to the US, including health.

Nations which adopt the template would “greatly reduce negotiating costs”.

Pro-leave campaigners claimed a free trade agreement was the big prize for leaving the European Union.

Leaving the EU may have meant we are obliged to sell off bits of the NHS to US partners to secure trade deals. This was a scenario notably absent from the Brexit bus.

The single market serves as a trade model and has never involved negotiations on the NHS.

Back in 2019, an investigation by Channel4 Dispatches revealed that trade talks between the Trump administration and Boris Johnson’s government had discussed “drug pricing” to try to allow US pharmaceutical firms to charge the NHS more for their products.

American corporations could profit from our NHS and change it forever.

Move closer to Europe

A recent poll shows quite the opposite of preference for Reform. Having seen the ensuing drama with Trump trade wars, citizens would prefer the UK to move closer to Europe.

Pressure is growing on Labour to improve trade with the EU.

Trump and truth

Trump claims Ukraine should have surrendered to Russia and blames Zelensky for war, arguing Zelensky should have surrendered and made a deal because Putin is a much more powerful enemy. Trump failed to mention that Putin’s invasion violated a 1994 agreement, blaming the Ukrainian leader who decided to pursue hostilities.

Trump has boasted of his “good relationship” with Putin. The US Department of Justice noted a “sweeping and systematic” effort by Putin to interfere in the presidential election on Trump’s behalf in 2016. In 2024, Musk took over that role in parallel.

Musk and the fiction factory

Musk’s comments and posts on social media display racial hatred. He defends Tommy Robinson, a convicted criminal who Musk feels should be freed from prison. Ownership of social media platform X and the power to buy other forms of social media advertising takes this to a hyper industrial scale. When you are the world’s richest man, you can buy and sell ‘truth’.

Musk dismisses the holocaust

If you wish to seek truth, a good place to start is The Anne Frank Huis and Foundation.

This is one of the most famous examples of infra-history, which depicts how circumstances have impacted the lives of normal people.

Not only the story of Anne and her family, but the helpers depicted in the ‘One Small Light’ series.

Take a look at the videos about children whose parents handed them to strangers.

How could a regime wantonly murder millions of people simply because of their religion?

Postmodernist narrative theories take on another sinister dimension.

Fiction factories are tools of harm – on a massive scale.  Franco’s Spain controlled the media and censored dubbed film plots.

Social media platforms take censorship and filtering to another powerful level. (Of course, data protection legislation to fine tech giants and hold their disinformation to account can stop some of this or at least punish it). Zuckerberg and Musk lift controls on their platforms to please Trump, another rich man with power and finances to direct narratives, leaving their platforms awash with political lies and racial hatred, plus carte blanche spaces for perverts and lunatics to harm users. Should any parent allow their teenager to use facebook these days?

Farage, Brexit and all he stands for are now empowered by industrial level fiction factories.  It’s time for grassroots truths to re-emerge. Don Quixote’s niece famously burnt his collection of stories on knights errant when these sent him mad.

Starmer’s Auschwitz visit and pledge

2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the Bosnian Genocide, and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. The Prime Minister marked this occasion with a visit to the concentration camp during his recent trip to Poland and pledged to ensure acts like it would never happen again. Victims of genocide already state that it could very easily happen again.

Those in office have the authority to do both good and harm.

Starmer stands on the side of good, but he can do much more on the myth busting side.

He must defeat not only racial hatred, but the fiction factories empowering its narratives, particularly the weapons of social media. He is in the position to rein in that power using legislation.

Furthermore, he too has a duty to deconstruct the myths these social media giants peddled, to expose the truth via educational programmes, in the media and in parliament.

He must deal with the damage caused by Brexit if he really wants to do his bit.

Rachel Reeves has admitted Brexit damaged the UK. Impacts of Brexit are in no way as terrible as Hitler’s genocide programme, yet some similarities are there. Power hungry individuals who do harm must be stopped in their tracks, whatever the reason behind their craving for control – the ego in the case of Hitler or greed motivated by personal gain. While his heart is in the right place, Starmer has a long way to go. However, he would have to risk his own position in office to fight for that truth given that Labour entered office empowered by some voters who were ‘more right wing’.  and disliked migrants. Does Starmer have the courage to do that?

Government narratives should change

Refugees trying to reach a safer haven in the UK or Europe flee wars, climate disasters and hostile political regimes.

A safe migration route would go a long way to help.  The more the public hears the truth, the better…

Our government must do everything in its power to stop those who claim narratives and the ‘truth’ for their own whims in detriment to the lives of UK citizens, our culture and our economy. Brexit was part of that – the escape from regulated EU legislation to avoid its controls on their activities. Economic problems in its wake have caused Britons misery and damaged the NHS.

Farage, who recently spoke at a seminar in Singapore for wealthy tax migrants, likes migrants if they are rich ones. One of Farage’s side jobs for US based Nomad Capitalist as a migration advisor nets him £40k for making just one speech at a conference in Kuala Lumpur.  Nomad Capitalist advises wealthy migrants on how to escape tax so they can offshore their money.

Petition to Starmer – political donations

Of course the far right dislikes Starmer. He is in a position to curtail their donors.

Musk is endorsing and threatening to donate millions of dollars to extremist parties in the UK and Germany (AFD). In particular, he would like to pass on 80 million pounds to put Reform in office and depose Starmer. A simple change in election law to prevent foreign companies, like Musk’s X, from using their UK profits to make political donations would stop him.

Reports say that the UK government is considering changing the rules, but Starmer fears repercussions from the far right. We can embolden his efforts by signing a petition to demonstrate public support.

We face a double threat from Putin and controlling billionaires flooding our political system with dark money.
