The result of the Nunthorpe by-election held on Thursday,4 December has been announced. Reform UK candidate Joanne Rush was elected to Middlesbrough Council with 35.79% of the vote.
The full results were:
- Sam Boardman (Green Party) – 79
- Richard Lewis (Labour Party) – 52
- Martin Lyon (Conservatives) – 328
- Joanne Rush (Reform UK) – 563
- Adrian Walker (Liberal Democrats) – 550
One ballot paper was rejected. The 1,573 votes cast represented a turnout of 35.75%.
The by-election was held following the resignation of Lib Dem Morgan McClintock.
