St Hilda’s Church in Jesmond recently held a festival of decorated trees. Entries were open to all in the community, and included offerings from groups, individuals and businesses. It was an impressive display with 38 ‘entrees’, all very creative. Prizes were donated by local businesses.

The winners were voted for by the local community on 3 December, a day of tree decorating which culminated in the singing of carols around the trees.
