Resolution in the time of Covid

 Today I held a conversation
I saw myself, in the mirror
 What a surprise
I am older than I remembered

 I need some salad days
 Crisp green goodness
 Dressed up for dinner
Sweet and tart on the tongue

I’ll move my limbs, run up steps
 Romp up hills,
Walk till I am out of breath
 Stop for valley views

 Breathe the crisp fresh air
Feel the hopeful rush of Spring
 Glory in the curling clouds
Spread my fingers to the rain

 The pent up hugs
 The laughter shared
 The scent of human
 All waiting
