The politics of hate (revisited)

Sadly, I underestimated the depth of hatred now languishing within the Tory Party. Perhaps Lee Anderson does actually speak for the government?

The hatred of refugees and asylum seekers in the current Conservative government runs so deep they are willing to take UK out of the European Convention of Human Rights.

Why would anyone be willing to sacrifice their own human rights just to stop people fleeing persecution and war zones coming here?

Every day we get a Tory MP talking about 4 star hotels, asylum shopping, travelling through ‘safe’ countries, there’s no war in France, all men arriving, we are full etc.

The rhetoric is being ramped up as we speak.

Lee Anderson

Lee Anderson (Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party), told asylum seekers to f**k off back to France if they don’t like being treated as criminals.

He did clarify his thoughts a little bit, in that he says he only means the asylum seekers who arrive illegally. However, given that there are no ‘legal’ routes, it must be fair to assume he does, indeed, mean all.

When I saw this fully expected a Government Minister or indeed the Prime Minister to row back on this opinion and to possibly see Anderson removed from his position as Deputy Chairman.

Sadly, I underestimated the depth of hatred now languishing within the Tory Party. Perhaps Lee Anderson does actually speak for the government?

True colours

In a perverse way, I am almost relieved that the Conservatives have at last shown the whole world who they are now and have finally said out loud what they have been muttering under their breath for a number of years.

Why is this ‘compassionate, generous and caring’ government happy to use language the common or garden racist applauds?

General Election coming!

A little while ago Lee Anderson stated that culture wars are going to be front and centre in the build up to the General Election. I suppose it makes sense as the Tories can’t really run on their achievements.

Let’s face it, an election poster advertising sewage in our waterways is never going to be a vote winner.

As a result I firmly believe that this is just the start of a race to the bottom and we are in for an incredibly divisive period of politics.

Strap yourself in, it’s going to be nasty!

Will it work?

Are the daily lie-athons on national TV and Radio cutting through?

Are there enough racists and xenophobes out there?

Is the Conservative Party now a viable alternative for the National Front and Britain First sympathisers?

Is it an attempt to get the Reform/Reclaim Party voters to vote Tory?
