Sue Reed

Sue Reed

Writing from the frontlines of midlife: voice reclaimed, garden muddy, and shame left in the dust, Sue is a neurodivergent writer who has made her home in the wilds of Northumberland. Born in Worthing, Sussex, Sue has migrated steadily north and has worn many hats in her professional life, from teacher, museum guide, and upcycler of waste wool knitwear as The Woolly Pedlar, to working full-time as a writer. She did a Creative Writing MA at Newcastle in 2019, and it was during the Writing for Children and Young Adults module that her first book, The Rewilding of Molly McFlynn was fledged and subsequently published in 2023.
When not writing, Sue divides her time between her garden, spending time with her family and grandchildren, Interrailing on solo travel trips or exploring wild places with her husband in their converted campervan.
