This new play begins with a declining Trump watching the results of the 2028 US election roll in that will choose his successor. Yes, it’s set in the future! The Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff is concerned and engages White-House-intern-cum-Chief-of-Staff Morgan to keep Trump occupied developing his Presidential Library – one without books no less. But the library project reinvigorates Trump and fate hands him a chance to achieve the dictatorial status he craves. But the hand of fate is cruel and intervenes yet again in a massive win for the liberals.
Will Trump go rogue or will a plan to keep him focused on golf, gorillas, porn, and developing his ‛perfectʼ presidential library avert disaster?
Written and directed by Eoin Carney, an early incarnation played at the INDYfringe and Pittsburgh Fringe festivals, and it won multiple awards at the 2025 Liverpool Fringe. Says Carney:
“This play is constantly evolving, because… Trump.”
It comes to the Durham Fringe with a Manchester-based cast of four in advance of its return to the Edinburgh Fringe following a very well-received run short run in 2025. Carney is a Pittsburgh and Manchester-based playwright who will also debut his new one-person show ‘M’ – featuring a woman who may or may not be Melania Trump – in Edinburgh.
